Adult Admission – $5.00 (good for both days)

Youth – Free (15 and under)

Food and drinks available on site

Primitive camping and tailgaters welcome

 

Friday cookout 6:15 p.m. is open to all attendees – No Charge (Donations Appreciated)

 

Notes:         Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed on the grounds.

                    Dogs must always remain on leash.

* Youth Trapping will focus on foot hold traps and each participating youth will receive a trap.

** Beaver Skinning Contest sponsored by Southern Snares will be based on speed.  The rules are simple.  Bring your own beaver which must weigh at least 40 lbs. and your own skinning tools.  The fastest time wins using the traditional open skin method. No cuts can be made until the clock starts.  The decision of the judge is final.  Three awards will be recognized including the NCTA 2024 Beaver Skinning Champion!  

*** Muskrat Skinning Contest sponsored by Miller Insurance Group   will be based on speed.  The rules are simple.  Muskrats will be provided but bring your own skinning tools.  The fastest time wins using the traditional cased skin method.  No cuts can be made until the clock starts. The decision of the judge is final.  Three awards will be presented including the NCTA 2024 Muskrat Skinning Champion!

**** Kids Scavenger Hunt – Our young trappers will be given a list of items to find and get their entry sheet initialed for each item.  Completed forms are to be returned to the membership table and prizes will be awarded a 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

 

Convention Etiquette
Due to yearly complaints from convention goers, the NCTA now has an animal policy that requires all dogs to be on a leash at all times during the convention. Please abide by this simple rule so we can avoid unpleasant discussions. -Thank You
